David: (enters) Daisy!
 
Daisy: David!
 
David: You're upset!
 
Daisy: You're engaged!
 
David: But I won't!
 
Daisy: But you must!
 
David: Not with her!
 
Daisy: But with me?
 
David: But of course!
 
Daisy: Oh, joy!
 
David: Oh, bliss!
 
Both: Oh, renwed rapture!  (they embrace)
 
Daisy: Have you succeeding in planning an escape?
 
David: It wasn't easy but last night I won a canoe from Running Rooster
       while teaching him how to play poker. I found a secluded way to 
       the river for our escape.
       
Daisy: I'm so happy. I thought for sure you'd end up a royal prince.
 
David: Not a chance. In your time with me, Daisy. you'll learn that a
       well laid play never fails. Are you ready to elope?
 
Daisy: Now?
 
David: I see no reason to wait.
 
Daisy: Then I'm more than ready.
